LigaSouth announced as new regional division of Northern Ohio Soccer League

MOUNT HOPE, Ohio. — The Northern Ohio Soccer League (NOSL) today announced the launch of LigaSouth, a new regional division serving Southern Ohio.

LigaSouth will provide competitive, organized soccer for players aged 18 and older, welcoming teams from across the southern region of the state, including (but not limited to) Columbus, Dayton, Cincinnati, Athens, Marietta, and Chillicothe.

The creation of LigaSouth reflects the NOSL’s ongoing mission to expand accessible, high-quality adult soccer opportunities throughout Ohio and to meet the growing demand for organized play in Southern communities.

LigaSouth is officially sanctioned by both the Southern Ohio Adult Soccer Association (SOASA) and the U.S. Adult Soccer Association (USASA). The division will operate independently from the existing men’s divisions within the NOSL structure. All LigaSouth members will be eligible to compete in national and regional tournaments such as the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, U.S. Amateur Cup, USASA regional events, and NOSL cup competitions. Players will also receive liability and accident insurance through NOSL’s affiliation with USASA.

The inaugural LigaSouth season will kick off on May 8, 2026, and conclude with the League Final on Sunday, July 26. The season will feature a 10-game regular season schedule, followed by playoffs featuring the top four teams.

Teams interested in joining LigaSouth or learning more about the league can complete the expansion application form available on the NOSL website’s LigaSouth page or contact bmast@berryhillsports.com for additional information.
